GUARANTEE

Although none of us can truly guarantee that a puppy will not be afflicted with hip dysplasia, progressive retinal atrophy, or other hereditary disease, I can guarantee that I have bred only sound dogs and have researched the pedigrees to the best of my ability.

As the BREEDER, I guarantee this puppy to be free of genetic hip and eye defects through the age of two years. In the event that the dog is unable to obtain CERF or OFA clearance, I will provide a replacement puppy of equal or higher value at the earliest availability from a subsequent litter. Should a puppy be selected from a higher breeding, the OWNER agrees to pay the difference in price.

To qualify for a replacement puppy, the following conditions must be met:

• The dog must have Kanati's as the prefix of his/her AKC and UKC registered name.
• The dog must be registered in the original OWNER’S name.
• The dog’s age must not have exceeded 24 months.
• A copy of the CERF evaluation from a board certified canine ophthalmologist must be sent to me within 14 days of notification of the defect.
• Diagnosis of canine hip dysplasia must be made by OFA. A copy of the findings, along with the x-rays must be sent to my veterinarian, Dr. Fritz Speck, Brown County Animal Clinic, 105 Early Blvd., Brownwood, TX 76801, within 14 days of notification of the defect.
• Proof of spaying or neutering signed by your veterinarian must be sent to me along with the dog’s registration papers transferring ownership back to me.
• The dog’s tattoo or microchip number must appear on all documents of certification.
• The dog must not have been bred nor produced offspring.

THIS GUARANTEE IS VOID IF ANY OF THE ABOVE CONDITIONS ARE NOT MET.

This guarantee is limited to the replacement of the puppy. Any veterinary expenses or liability connected with this dog is fully assumed by the OWNER.

If this dog is used for breeding purposes, the OWNER agrees to obtain all clearances from OFA and CERF prior to breeding and to use only breeding stock for the dog/bitch that have been similarly cleared for genetic health problems.

The OWNER agrees to consult the BREEDER regarding future breeding plans for the dog/bitch and send copies of clearances to assist in acquiring information on the puppies produced at MITCHELL LABS.
